Fleur de Café
In 2007, Marc and Eugénie Steenhuis started Fleur de Café on a Diepenveen attic. Due to lack of space, Fleur de Café relocated several times and now has a large commercial building with 11 employees.
In the past years, Fleur de Café has grown to be a market leader in loose tea in the Dutch Hospitality Industry. Apart from tea, Fleur de Café also sells coffee to thousands of pubs and shops. Of course the coffee machines are not missing, with a nationwide marketshare of 10%, there are plenty of growth opportunities available here for Fleur de Café. A new addition to the range are coffee roasting machines. The basis for success is the high quality against a low price. The 24 hour delivery service and a strong focus on Internet as a sales channel, in addition to sales through field sales.
Products & Services
Fleur de Café delivers loose tea and coffee, packaged coffee and tea with or without private label, coffee machines and coffee roasters. The coffee has been divided over 50 different types with 5,000 different blends. A wide range is also available for tea, with 400 types.
Marc Steenhuis is proud of every customer and every deal. But the export of South African rooiboos tea to South Africa is particularly special.
Marc Steenhuis has announced that export was established by coincidence. “In the Netherlands, the business is still growing rapidly. On average, five new customers per day are acquired online. The export abroad is growing steadily, and now makes up about 15% of the sales.” Marc expects growing sales in existing export countries and the acquisition of new export countries. In the short term, export to Austria and Russia will follow.
